And while Brian appreciates company on the road, he really enjoys using Rivendell's horse-drawn lawnmower for developing his own sense of feel.  There's no room on the mower for his instructor - she must watch him from a distance.  It is just Brian & Missy.

Story:  Brian was a truck driver - a teamster - until he was involved in an accident that left him brain damaged.  Brian mastered riding at a walk, but the trot caused too much spasticity, and he would jerk his hands, bringing any horse from a trot to a walk or even a halt.  As an adult, Brian was finding this very frustrating.  So we offered him a chance to learn to drive.  And he is bragging that he is a "teamster" again.
